In the present work we want to propose two possible procedures for the evaluation of magnetic induction level achieved in metallic ropes and the performance of the Power Supply devices for the magnetic rope testing (MRT) in terms of detect localised faults (LF) according the indications of the European standard: EN 12927:2019.Critical aspects related to the train sets practical application of the presented methods are described and discussed.
